It's just a month until my nuptials. That's really very difficult to believe. It seems I've known Ned forever, but also that this will change everything absolutely.
And I suppose it will.
We're going to move into his flat to start, since it's such a nice place and there's really not been time to figure out anything different. Not between our work and all the other business that planning for a wedding requires.
I have my last fittings next week, and then there are all of the other celebratory things beforehand. Lunches and parties and time with special people who want to wish me well. It's wonderful and trying all at the same time--difficult to fit into my schedule, I mean, but also just a bit overwhelming.
One feels as if one is just on the cusp of the unknown, and it's a bit staggering, is all. Sobering.
Abuelita has been sewing beautiful things for my trunk for years and years, but she showed me everything last evening, all of it together, and it was so lovely. It was too much. I know that now whenever I see her sewing, it will make me go all teary. Just thinking about it does.
One month. And then I'll be married.
I can't entirely believe that.

Date: 2012-07-05 12:52 am (UTC)Hirsch will be in touch about delivery for the furnishings. That's separate. And you'll want to confirm that they're to remove the things we decided we'd discard. Be sure they commit to a flat fee beforehand.
I've been adding things to a new list for you. I was going to send it along tonight but I'll just wait until I see you tomorrow. Who knows, I might think of another thing or two to add.
Mr Crouch hasn't asked you to prepare an internship dossier, has he? I don't want to spoil my chance by pestering him about it, but I heard he was asking you to fetch some forms this morning and I wondered if- well, you'd tell me, wouldn't you?
