As for the induction, I'll ask Mama, but I know she's had almost daily conversations with the head of catering and the management. If they've not got all the details sorted by now, I expect she'll have their heads.
The one thing you might do, if it's not too much trouble, is see if you can't find out whether Mrs Chillicotte has given a bit more specific thought to what she's going to say to open the ceremony. Last year, it was a bit disorganised and ran long. I'm not sure I'm in the best position to speak with her about that, but if you felt you could do it without offending, that would be a true help.
